ABOUT US AND OUR CANDLES

Danette Hagen Thacker, the owner and sole candle maker of Riverside Soy Candles, started making candles in the basement of her home in the Riverside neighborhood of Duluth as a hobby in 2013.  As her candles grew in popularity, she established Riverside Soy Candles as an LLC as of January 2018.  April of 2019, Danette found herself outgrowing her basement and was fortunate enough to find a great rental space in Duluth's up and coming neighborhood of Lincoln Park.  In her new space, she is able to have a production area and enough room to offer candle making workshops for the public as well.

Riverside Soy Candles facts:

• Hand poured in small batches in Duluth, Minnesota.
• Use only high quality fragrance oils, containing no phthalates.  
• Made with 100% US grown soy wax. Soy wax is a renewable resource, it burns at a lower temperature making soy wax candles burn longer than other wax candles.
• Wicks used are 100% cotton and are free of any lead. 
• Candle containers and packing/shipping materials that are used are either recyclable or reusable.
